This is a sequence of the 2nd movement of Khachaturian's 2nd Symphony, written during WW II. It is scored for a large orchestra and as such requires more than 1 synth to properly perform it. Those who were in the US in the '50s and '60s who watched the NBC Evening News with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley may recognize some of this movement (after bar 300) as the theme music played at the end of the broadcast (perhaps because it has some of the rhythm of teletypes). I have used a Proteus 2 and a Korg O3R/W (the tracks used by the Korg start with a "K"). All tracks have been transposed to concert pitch. Note that the Tuba, Glockenspiel, and some of the Pizzicato Bass notes share MIDI channel 9. Gary Goldberg National Capital Amiga Users Group
